The Catalina Youth Excursion is an unforgettable ocean adventure designed to introduce young people to the beauty of Southern California’s coastal waters and island wildlife.
Participants will travel by boat from Long Beach Harbor to Catalina Island, one of California’s famous Channel Islands and a premier destination for marine exploration, fishing, and outdoor recreation. The journey itself is part of the experience, giving youth the opportunity to see open ocean wildlife and enjoy the excitement of traveling across the Pacific.
Once on the island, students will explore Catalina’s unique environment — known for its clear waters, diverse marine life, and world-class fishing grounds where anglers regularly catch species like tuna and yellowfin.
